CHRISTIAN HOSOI

Short form documentary film about legendary pro skater Christian Hosoi.  At his peak in the 1980's Hosoi was the "rock star" of skating, pulling down money that rivaled Tony Hawk's paycheck. Then it all came crashing down when Hosoi plowed into self-destruction, getting hooked on crystal meth and hitting rock bottom with a prison sentence for drug smuggling. Director Peter King captures the story of Christian's downfall and redemption.

A fixture in skateboarding history since the 1970’s, Salba is best known for his uncanny ability to overcome physical and legal obstacles to find and tame backyard pools, secret fullpipes and concrete wonderlands. SALBALAND is a new action series chronicling Salba and some of the best known skaters in the world (Christian Hosoi, Lance Mountain, X-Games Gold medalist Bob Burnquist) as they go to incredible and dangerous lengths to locate pools to drain and shred.
